Freefly Alta X

Intro

The Freefly Alta X is the ultimate heavy-lift drone for demanding aerial cinematography.

With an impressive 15.9 kg (35 lbs) payload capacity and extremely low vibration thanks to Freefly’s ActiveBlade technology, we can fly the heaviest cinema cameras and lenses with cinematic stability. Whether it’s an ARRI Alexa 35 with large primes, a RED V-Raptor, or a full Mōvi Carbon rig — the Alta X delivers the quality you would expect from a helicopter shot, but quieter, closer, more flexible and far more cost-effective.

What can we do with the Freefly Alta X for you?

With this heavy-lift drone we create shots that were previously only possible with a helicopter or crane:

  • Cinematic long takes with ARRI Alexa Mini LF / Alexa 35 or RED V-Raptor

  • Dynamic gimbal shots with Mōvi Carbon or Mōvi Pro

  • Low & slow tracking shots over water, city or nature

  • High-speed pursuit shots (up to ± 100 km/h)

  • Complex choreography with actors, cars or boats

  • Night shoots with onboard cinema LED lighting

Whether you’re shooting a feature film, commercial, music video or high-end corporate production in Amsterdam, the Netherlands or across Europe — the Alta X gives you the creative freedom and image quality of a much larger production, without the helicopter budget.
